A good option to choose is the excess waiver which is available on both the annual multi trip travel insurance and single trip travel insurance. Excesses are applied per person, per incident, per section which, if you have a family policy may mean a large excess payable since the excess is payable per person insured and not on a group basis. By including the excess waiver for a small additional payment you would pay no excess whatsoever which would reduce financial stress. Excess waivers would not apply to any special excess that have been applied such as those for pre-existing medical conditions or for specialist sports activities.
